Agios Georgios Beach is located on the southern tip of Santorini, on the east side, right after Perivolos Beach and extends over Vlychada Beach. Actually, it is the continuation of a very long beach that starts from Perissa and it is hard to tell where the one ends and the other begins. It is easy to arrive here by rental or private car and buses that depart from Fira, the capital of Santorini.
The beach is clean and semi-organized, offering sunbeds with straw umbrellas, beach bars and a wide selection of water activities. You can experience an alternative and more active time at the beach by trying scuba diving, windsurfing, jet-skiing, paddleboats and banana boats. The waters are beaming and crystal clear and the beach is sandy in wonderful grey colors with the company of a bunch of trees.
Despite the fact that it is the extension on Perissa and Perivolos beaches, it remains less crowded and popular and, in fact, is the beach that many celebrities prefer as they look for privacy. It is pretty quiet and you can cherish a lot of peaceful and content moments. Along the waterfront, there are some cafes, taverns and restaurants ready to welcome you.
